WHAKARONGO NEWS
A university project. We were given a brief to re-design a news outlet that was designed to cater for a specific target audience of our choice.

My research found that the majority of newsreaders and followers are middle-aged, and a lot of them don't have a great amount of time to read the news with their busy schedules. I decided to create a podcast centric news website that busy people can listen to on their commutes to and from work, or while doing something else to make the most of their time.

'Whakarongo' is Te Reo Māori for 'listen' or 'listening'

Te Reo Māori is something I am passionate about and I thought a website created for New Zealanders would be a great opportunity to implement more of it into our daily lives.

The site acts like Spotify, where you can compile a list of news stories every day to listen to on the way to work.
