FEED YOUR CAT
Early iteration/ idea for 'note to self'

The idea of 'feed your cat' was a retoric for mental health and making sure you're keeping on top of it. The cat is a metaphor for mental distress i.e Anxiety, depression etc. I came up with this as there is a well known metaphor for the black dog (depression) and I thought that cats are another way we can describe this feeling as cats come and go as they please, much like feelings of sadness or distress. When they do come back, they need to be fed - so this idea of 'feed your cat' is to feed your mental wellness and being proactive about it so that it doesn't get to the point where your cat dies and so does your mental wellness.

This iteration was targeted at students/ people ages around 16 - 35, so I used a wide range of bright colours to contradict the feeling of being down, this is a contrast that feels ironic but also hopeful.
